Bullseye!

Posted in Life, Love, Random at 2:54 pm by Faith

Don’t you LOVE it when you’re driving and listening to music when you realize that the song you’re listening to is a TOTAL snapshot of your life at that precise moment?

Case in point: I was driving the FF 2004 (aka my car) down the street in the town I live in. My current CD of the moment is Daughtry’s debut CD. (Please hold the booing until the end of the blog post, please.) Anyway, as I was making my way back up to my house, I heard these lyrics:

You took a hammer to these walls,
Dragged the memories down the hall,
Packed your bags and walked away.
There was nothing I could say.
And when you slammed the front door shut,
A lot of others opened up,
So did my eyes so I could see
That you never were the best for me.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should’ve started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I’d doubt you,
I’m better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I’m slowly getting closure.
I guess it’s really over.
I’m finally getting better.
And now I’m picking up the pieces.
I’m spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
‘Cause the day I thought I’d never get through,
I got over you.

Who would have thought that Daughtry would be so intuitive?

I don’t have anything against Chris Daughtry or his band, but… intuitive? Do you need a cat scan? 🙂

I’m a big nerd. I was trying to figure out what FF could possibly stand for and the first thing that came to mind is Final Fantasy…Lol.
